Value In Mapping Utility Corridors | Skyfleet Solutions

SkyFleet Solutions completed 15 miles of utility corridor mapping for this project. The deliverables included a high-resolution aerial TIFF and a detailed Digital Elevation Model (DEM).

The purpose of the project was to document pre and post construction conditions so the utility company could clearly identify damage to assets. The DEM was detailed enough to capture features down to individual tire tracks, and the aerial imagery provided visual confirmation of any disturbances along the corridor.

This served as an insurance safeguard, giving the utility company defensible proof of what damage was present before construction and what occurred during work protecting them from potential claims.

Additionally, the data assisted with preplanning, offering a clear view of access roads, terrain, and layout so engineers could evaluate site conditions and begin planning future transmission line improvements.
